You know the saying: “practice makes perfect”. The unfortunate truth is that we can never be perfect. Therefore, it should really say: “practice makes almost perfect”. That being said, how much practice do we need to be “almost perfect”?

A very common answer to this is 10,000 hours according to Malcolm Gladwell. That is a lot of time to spend working on learning a skill. However, there is a lot of truth to this. You spend 10,000 hours doing something and you’re certainly going to become very good at it.
