Furthermore, obeying these dietary laws helped protect the health of God’s people by preventing them from consuming potentially harmful or contaminated substances. Therefore, adhering to the Old Testament clean and unclean food rules was not simply an act of legalism; it was a demonstration of reverence for God’s authority over every aspect of life.
