Teens today are constantly bombarded with social pressure, negative influence, cyberbullying, and other harmful content on social media. Many report feelings of addiction, anxiety, depression, body image issues, and even thoughts of suicide as a result of social media use.

Moreover, a majority of people report feeling worse after using social media than before using social media. Only 14 percent reported that social media left them feeling better than before.

Clearly, something needs to change!

We are working to fill social media with positive content — Bible-based and centered on bringing hope and light into the world. Currently, we are relying on organic growth, which means we are hoping that people locate and share our content.

This is a slow process, unfortunately, so we are expanding and accelerating our efforts. With the help of recently acquired volunteers, SMM is taking strategic steps to raise awareness about our organization and its mission.
